We are home safe from a week of service in Tacoma. We had a great time and now I want to say, on behalf of Kara and all of the adult leaders and all eighty of the high school youth - thank you. During the week, we asked for prayers. You were praying for all of us, and for the airline staff of two different airlines, two bus drivers, the event staff at PLU and the cafeteria workers. You were praying for John and Dan and Bill, Ashley, James, Charles, just to name a few of the folks we worked alongside. You were praying for the people of Tacoma who welcomed us and showed us hospitality all week long. Even if you didn't know the specifics, your prayers for us were felt by us, and very important to us. Thank you.
Without your support, this life changing experience couldn't have happened for this large group. We worked hard, our faith grew, we developed community in many different ways, there was some drama (of course). The sun shone for a little while, but mostly it rained. We were God's hands and feet this week, but we saw God in so many different ways. And you, when you donated to the auction, ate spaghetti or purchased an item, were God's hands and feet as well. We couldn't have done this work in Tacoma without your support.
