Friday morning - I can hardly believe it! The week has flown by and we are off today to our last day of service in Tacoma. Some of the sites have been favorites, and some have been less popular, but all have provided varied and great experiences for both the kids and adult leaders.
Our groups have been working so hard, and so efficiently that we have actually finished most of the projects and a few of the sites. Today, we are consolidating and 66 of us are heading to L'Arche Farms to work - they have a large farm and a lot of things that need to be done. It's cloudy and cool, but it's not supposed to rain, so, perfect weather for kickin' it down and gettin' it done!!!
The kids have been great - all of the site managers have raved about how mature, hard working, engaged, kind and polite they are. Trinity had made a good impression on Tacoma and they just might invite us back! Our accommondations at PLU have been just right, too. Comfortable, safe, and welcoming.
Tomorrow is our fun day in Seattle. We're looking forward to it, but I guess I can speak for the adult leaders when I say we are also looking forward to coming home to sleep in our own beds and use a private bathroom :)
This has been a great trip and we are witnessing small and wonderful changes in the kids. God works with us when we do these trips and I am grateful to be a part of this one. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
